In partnership with Kongregate, an online gaming platform, Immutable has announced the launch of a $40 million investment fund. The fund will be used exclusively to provide grants to developers to create blockchain-enabled games for Kongregate.

Immutable is an Australian start-up that has developed an Ethereum second layer blockchain (ETH) specifically for NFTs. The company is known for publishing major blockchain games, such as Gods Unchained or Guild of Guardians.
More concretely, the two companies announced that this fund would be entirely made up of Immutable X (IMX) tokens that will be distributed to developers proposing blockchain games on the Kongregate platform.
These games are expected to arrive by the end of 2022, allowing Kongregate to transition to a Web 3.0 gaming site, as CTO Max Murphy explains:
In practical terms, Kongregate is a platform for accessing thousands of free online video games. For independent developers, it’s also a way to submit their games to a community, get paid through ads and eventually become successful.
